In case you don't already know who I am, let me briefly introduce myself.
I am writing this from my family's house in the east of Germany, the place I have been calling my home for the past 19 years. I went to Kindergarten and high school in the same street I live in, which means I have probably walked up and down the road for a million times. It's astonishing, when you know a place so exceptionally well, you almost don't recognize it anymore. Nothing stands out. For the very first time, what I am looking for, is not to be found.
Only so much for the backstory. What this blog will really be about, is my year abroad in Kenya – starting on January 10, 2026! I couldn't be more excited to go. To go and learn and maybe, eventually, find.
